philosophy

Engaging a Designer may feel like a discretionary spend but like other trades you need, working with a credible professional can save you time and money long term.

It’s easy to be distracted and influenced from many sources, which can lead to procrastination and feeling overwhelmed by choice – too stressful!

“Follow Your Own Brief” is my philosophy for focusing on a plan that is individual to you!

Having someone by your side to support and guide you through the process will help to alleviate stress and hone in on Your Own Brief to ensure that well considered choices are made.

You may not know where to start or perhaps you have an idea of what you wish to achieve but just too time poor to spend a lot of time researching products and trying to bring the plan together.

Having a thorough understanding of The Elements and Principles of Design can filter out so much of the “noise” and enable us to evaluate and refine choices to develop a concept – taking out the guesswork and knowing why it works.

There is an abundance of inspiration and stylistic options out there but it is becoming more eclectic. The challenge is to focus on your needs, and then with careful planning we can help establish an aesthetic balance that works for you.  It’s important to honour what is special and authentic to you, but also for the architecture and the environment in which it sits to be reflected.
