My wife and I worked with Stenning Design to complete the interior design for our heritage home, Fusilier Cottage in historic Battery Point, Hobart. Linda was a delight to work with. Responsive to our needs and interests, while at the same time adding value with creative ideas. Linda’s aesthetic sense complemented the award-winning architecture and the ambiance of the historic cottage. This was much more than just another job for all of us. It was a labour of love. Early on we agreed on the concept – an early Tasmanian gentleman’s home, and over a period of around one year we worked together to realize that concept; a blend of old and new which respected both the heritage values of the cottage and our desire for a modern, light, artistic and livable home. I very much recommend Stenning Design.

We’ve often told Linda, “We couldn’t have done it without you!” Purchasing in Cygnet about a month before we actually moved here from Brisbane, Linda met with us regularly online and prepared the schedule of works complete with agreed colour schemes to recarpet, replace flooring, sand and wax timber floors, paint the entire interior, replace existing blinds and curtains as well as selecting gorgeous light fittings and designing unique carpentry for the entry and pantry. Linda also supplied quality samples for soft furnishings. No small feat given the compressed timing. We were blown away with the results. Linda showed enthusiasm and creativity throughout the process and has a very keen eye for style coupled with a practical sensibility. As a genuinely engaging designer who dedicates herself entirely to the brief, we have no hesitation in recommending her to collaborate with you on your interior design project, big or small.

Linda did an amazing job styling our apartment. My husband and I love it!
She showed her genuine personality, style and experience and worked with me to the very end of the project. And did all this while we were interstate.
Great work Linda!

Providing a cohesive concept was always going to be a challenge for this project, but Linda didn’t hesitate. She then went on to deliver the solutions with care, respect and consideration, bringing our vision to life.
As a heritage building with a 1970s extension across several levels in the heart of Hobart, existing architecture was never going to offer an easy palette. The scope included  a mix of communal spaces and 25 bedrooms, with adjacent administration spaces too. Bring into play five decades of use as supported accommodation for men and then focus on our desire to transform this tired space to become a warm and welcoming temporary home for women experiencing vulnerability – this was not a project for the faint hearted.
Linda was pivotal in steering this project though, working with Vinnies Tas to develop the brief, then guiding a range of trades and other stakeholders to achieve outstanding outcomes that are now transforming lives daily.
Amelie House was refurbished over a brief three month period, working on a limited budget. Linda delivered focus on what we needed, but also offered flex around some of our constraints. She brought heart as much as head, not to mention good humour and a sense of humility, working with Vinnies Tas in serving women seeking a safe and stable home as they begin to get life back on track.

I couldn’t recommend Linda more highly and I know our residents appreciate her expertise every day.
